Our longest running program is available in a blended learning, virtual format for distance learning wherever you are in the world, meeting via video webinar for class bi-weekly.

This 12 week accredited diploma program is curated to take you from the basics of makeup to specialized skills in the world of the fashion, photography & film industries. Ideal for students with no experience or artists who are looking to upgrade their techniques.

You have the option of joining us for the Day class which meets at noon twice a week or the Evening class which meets at 6 pm twice a week. Whatever your needs we have you covered! 

This program is eligible for government student funding. Learn more about student funding here. The Virtual Makeup Diploma is a prerequisite for our Advanced Makeup Diploma Program.

PREREQUISITE

  • Students must be 18 years old or older. If the student is not yet 18 years of age, they must have graduated high school 

Pay Registration Deposit

Once you've completed your application form, select your course date above and add your registration deposit to your cart to checkout. 

Upon receipt of a completed application form and registration deposit, admissions will promptly review your application and notify you within 48 hours regarding your application status.

Accepted students are responsible to complete their 'Alberta Student Enrolment Contract' and other application registration steps in a timely manner. This agreement will be included in their welcome email.

Theory Lessons: 21 hours/week of flexible online study
Virtual Practical Class Meeting Online: Monday & Tuesday 12pm - 1pm MST

      STAND OUT FROM THE COMPETITION

      We like to have fun at AW - but we're serious about professional accreditation. Successful graduates will receive a diploma in makeup artistry, and two international accreditations from ITEC - Award in Infection Prevention (COVID-19) for Makeup Services & the International Certificate in Makeup.

      GET INTERNATIONALLY CERTIFIED

      The ITEC exams are international certifications that are recognized in 45 Countries around the world. The exam now includes the Award in Infection Prevention (COVID-19) for Make-up Services. This knowledge-based qualification is aimed at make-up artists who need to understand the COVID-19 infection prevention methods required in order to maintain high levels of health and safety in the provision of their services.
