Last night was Country Music's biggest night to shine! It was the 50th anniversary of the County Music Awards. The awards were held in the Bridgestone Arena on November 2, 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee. About a month ago we got a sneak peak into how the show was going to be, with the music video FOREVER COUNTRY. Opening the show last night was unforgettable and breath taking with artists such as Charlie Daniels, Charley Pride, Dwight Yoakam, Carrie Underwood, Randy Travis, Brad Paisley, Reba McEntire, Vince Gill, Jeff Cook, Randy Owen, Alan Jackson and Teddy Gentry. With the opening performance coming to an end it was one man that stole the show hands down! In 2013 Randy Travis suffered a debilitating stroke, for the past 3 year he has been learning to talk, walk and sing all over again. He was recently inducted into the Country Hall of Fame and to everyones surprise sang Amazing Grace. Last night he brought the crowd to tears and to their feet from one single line from his iconic song "Forever and Ever Amen" Smiling from ear to ear and standing on his own Mr. Travis gave his all and sang one line, Amen! Later on in the evening the Queen Bey herself made her CMA stage debut with none other then the Dixie Chicks. Brad Paisley's co-host for the evening and Female Vocalist of the Year, Carrie Underwood killed her performance of Dirty Laundry in true Carrie style. Towards the end of the evening Lily Tomlin from the Netflix original series "Grace and Frankie" presented her "9 to 5" co-star Dolly Parton The Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award. Dolly Parton is country pure and simple!
