60th Annual Grammy Awards

60th Annual Grammy Awards

Last night at Madison Square Gardens, the 60th annual Grammy Awards were held. I don't know about you, but to me this years awards were on the boring side. For the 60th I was hoping for a definite show stopper award show, but that was not the case for this years Grammy's. Music's biggest night went on for what felt like forever just kind of dragged on! However there were some amazing moments in the show that has everyone talking this morning!
Kendrick Lamar opened the show with a few quick cameo's from Dave Chappelle. To tell you the honest truth I did not understand a word Kendrick was saying. At the beginning it looked as if he was looking at a teleprompter for the lyrics to his song? Thankfully the opening was saved by Lady Gaga with her emotional tribute to her late aunt Joanne while singing Joanne and A Million Reasons. Kesha & friends gave the performance of a lifetime with her song Pray. Kesha's raw emotion gave me goosebumps as she used her vocal power to push through tears. Cyndi Lauper, Camila Cabello, Andra Day, Julia Michaels, Bebe Rexha and the Resistance Revival Chorus joined Kesha on stage. Of course can't forget to mention Sir Elton John and Miley Cyrus's performance "Tiny Dancer". This coming just days after Sir Elton John announced his retirement going into his final tour. Miley looked like a princess in her burgundy gown just flawless! A beautiful group of country superstars provided one of the most emotional performances of the night. Maren Morris, Eric Church and the Brothers Osborne delivered a tearful rendition of Eric Claptons "Tears in Heaven" as tribute to the 59 victims of the Las Vegas shooting. Jay-Z entered the show as top nominee, but it was Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar who left the nights biggest winners! Bruno Mars won for Song of the Year, Best R&B Album, Record of the Year and and Album of the Year!

This award show was hard to choose best and worst dressed. The fashion was mediocre I was just not wowed. There are a few outfits that I was loving though. Like Lady Gaga, how she wore a wrap skirt on the Red Carpet and took the skirt off and she then had a lace bodysuit on for the remainder of the show. Another look that I loved was Heidi Klum's straight off the runway Ashi Studio gown.
