Along with Tara Cowles, the Artists Within team includes professional artists that specialize in hair, fashion, special fx, and makeup. At Artists Within, we are constantly updating course materials to include the latest techniques. Our programs provide practical, hands-on experience, with the theory to back it up.
Tara is Artists Within’s own femme fatale, with her sky high heels and her subtle charm, she continually focuses her creative abilities on education and achieving the highest standards in the makeup profession.
To complement her background as a makeup artist she is also the creative director and founder of our AW03 Maquillage makeup line.
The line was designed with a makeup artist in mind with all products being pigmented, blendable and long wearing.
You’ll find Ashton welcoming you through the doors with her bubbly personality, sweet demeanour and beautiful smile, you’d never guess this girl is a Scorpio!
Rest assured Ashton’s sting only appears in her work ethic, lists and tasks that must be completed no matter what’s going on around her!
Before joining the ranks of Artists Within as the Administrative Director, Ashton worked as an Esthetician and Makeup artist.
Ashton has done countless photo shoots, fashions shows, television segments and concerts. She has a passion for helping people feel confident as well as beautiful. Whether you call or come visit Ashton will likely be your first encounter at the Academy.
Scarlett is a true artist. Her brush is pure magic! With 10 years of experience Scarlett still pushes her make up skills and artistry to the next level.
She has worked as in house make up artist for Jami Symons Salon and for Le Cirque de la Nuit as well as on location for many shoots, events and shows.
Inspired by video games and unicorns, this girl very unique! Always on point and ready for any make up challenge.
Jessica is a ball of energy, enthusiasm and talent! We knew we had to keep this girl the moment she walked into the office. She has an incredibly sweet demeanour, pristine appearance and professional attitude.
As professional makeup artist and educator, with over 8 years experience in the world of beauty, Jessica has worked for internationally renowned companies such as MAC Cosmetics, Revlon Canada and as a lead artist and education trainer with Smashbox Cosmetics and Glamglow Canada.
Jessica is presently finishing a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry! She wishes to pursue cosmetic chemistry and is looking forward to sharing her newfound knowledge with clients and students.

The latest member of our team, fashion stylist Erin Donnelly-Ferguson, originates from Phoenix and San Francisco where her styling career began 10 years ago.
Erin worked with J.Crew. styling, merchandising and doing window design in New York, Phoenix and San Francisco. Her career expanded to working on runways, editorial and personal styling which she continues today.
