Covid Vaccinations & Restrictions Exemption Program

Restrictions Exemption Program

We understand there are many complexities that come with varying opinions regarding vaccinations and respect an individual’s personal choice in this matter. As a post-secondary institution, we also have a responsibility to all of our students and staff to stay safe and open for classes, especially due to the close contact of our trade.

In the priority of our students, clients, employees, and the company, we will be implementing the Restrictions Exemption Program from the government of Alberta, with recommendation from Alberta Private Career Colleges. The exemption protocols are listed below.

As of Monday, September 20th 2021, we require all in-academy students to show one of the following to enter the academy:

  • proof of vaccination

  • a valid documentation of medical exemption

For students who cannot provide one of the above, they are invited to join the virtual facilitation of our programs (where applicable) or via livestream from the comfort of their home.

As of Monday, September 20th 2021, we require all clients & guests, to show one of the following to enter the academy:

  • proof of vaccination

  • a valid documentation of medical exemption

  • proof of a privately paid negative test

Providing Proof of Vaccination

Vaccination Requirements

  • partial vaccination (one dose) accepted from September 20 to October 25 if received 2 weeks before time of entry.

  • full vaccination (two doses) required after October 25.

Accepted Proof

  • Provide a photo ID to verify identification in addition to proof of vaccination.

  • Screenshot of your vaccination records from My Alberta Health App.

  • Paper copies of your vaccination records.

  • A photo of paper copies of your vaccination records.

We will keep a copy of the student's proof of partial or full vaccination on file to streamline entry to ongoing classes. If currently partially vaccinated, we will need an additional proof of vaccination after they are fully vaccinated by October 25th.

Providing Proof of a Negative Test

A privately-paid negative PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of entry (tests from AHS or Alberta Precision Laboratories are not allowed).

Staff Protocols

To keep our clients and students safe, all staff have provided proof of vaccination.

As Covid-19 has affected Albertans and businesses, let's work together so that we can continue to operate safely. As always, please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
